Disney's Epcot Center

“May Epcot Center entertain, inform and inspire. And, above all, may it instill a new sense of belief and pride in man’s ability to shape a world that offers hope to people everywhere.”

Disney Magic Kingdom Castle Pic

Epcot was to be Walt Disney's dream of the Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow.  In some ways, the forward thinking of Epcot's Future World and the diversity of cultures at World Showcase keep a part of Walt's dream alive.  Disney in this case turned the idea of Epcot into a fantastic theme park and it could be argued, moved the spirit of Epcot to the Disney built town of Celebration, Florida, only miles from the Magic of Walt Disney World.

Epcot is more than twice the size of the Magic Kingdom, which means visitors will find themselves doing a considerable amount of walking. Due to the overall size and the design of the park guests often find that they are unable to see and experience all of the attractions found at Epcot in a single day.

Epcot is basically divided into two separate and different themed areas:

Future World: Among its fountains and gardens are large pavilions each showcasing a technology and offering a glimpse at its past, present and future impact on mankind.

World Showcase: Epcot's other themed area, is situated along the shores of World Showcase Lagoon a 40-acre lake that visually and physically separates it from Future World. Eleven countries are scattered along a mile long promenade each offering guests an opportunity to experience the cuisine, culture, history and architecture of the host country.

Must See Epcot Attractions

While there are many great attractions at the Epcot Center, here are some of the highlights:
