LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Toy Story Mania!, the new
4-D adventure at Disney's Hollywood Studios, continues a tradition
that has become a hallmark of Disney Parks: immersing guests into
a story so that they become part of the show.
At Toy Story Mania!, guests enter a world where
enormous toys and props make them feel as if they have been shrunk
to the size of Woody or Buzz Lightyear -- just the right size to
play the interactive games that have been set up, midway-style,
under the bed in Andy's room.
Donning 3-D glasses and using spring-action
shooters, guests launch virtual darts at balloons, rings at aliens
and eggs at whimsical barnyard targets to see who can rack up the
most points. Special effects -- like a blast of air when a balloon
pops -- add a fourth dimension of fun to the attraction.
